Tamkeen hosts ceremony to express appreciation for the charity fundraising event

Mansour Jewellers had sponsored and organized the jewellery auction in cooperation with ‘Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development ’to raise funds

Dubai- United Arab Emirates- Tamkeen - the initiative for the visually impaired, in association with Dubai Press Club and Dubai Knowledge Village hosted a ceremony at the Knowledge Village to express appreciation to all parties that supported The Mansour Jewellers charity auction and exhibition which was held at the Dubai Ladies Club.

Representatives from the Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development Group 3 which organized the charity event as part of their training attended the ceremony. The Group 3 participants included Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman Director General of Dubai International Financial Centre
Authority; Mona Al Marri, Executive Manager of Dubai Press Club; Talib Julfar, Head of Sewerage and Irrigation Network from Dubai Municipality; Fatma Haji Mohammed, Head of Finance, Dubai Department of Economic Development and Mahmood Al Khaja from Head of Planning, Emirates Airline.

Representatives from Dubai Press Club, Dubai Ladies Club, Dubai Women’s College and the key sponsors of the charity auction and exhibition Mansour Jewellers were felicitated during the ceremony.

Representatives of the support sponsors of the charity event were also felicitated during the ceremony. The support sponsors included Escada Burjuman, Epel Watches, Al Usra Al Asriya Magazine, Dubai Creative Printing, and Dubai Ladies Club. In addition to Zayed University, Dubai Media City, ENOC, Proscape Landscape Design & Construction, Al Bayader Irrigation & Contracting, Al Ghandi, CC Color, and Top Style Salon.

Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, CEO of Knowledge Village said, “We would like to thank all the parties that supported this activity which helped in raising funds for Tamkeen, an initiative that works to empower the visually impaired. I would like to express special appreciation for the participants of the Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development for initiating this charity event.”

Mona Al Marri, Executive Manager of the Dubai Press Club and one of the participants in this charity project said that participating in this event reinforced her belief in supporting the social and humanitarian causes. She strongly believes that leaders should have a strong sense of responsibility towards their societies.

Praising the support provided by the sponsors, Al Marri said, “The sponsors were keen on supporting this charity event to help achieve the set objectives. This will help promote Tamkeen’s cause to help empower and integrate the visually impaired individuals in the society.”

The funds raised through the auction were dedicated to “Tamkeen” project for the blind, which has been launched by H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister. It is supported by the Knowledge Village and a group of private and government organisations. Tamkeen aims at empowering and training the visually impaired individuals in the UAE.
